2) Ask for reviews

We really can’t stress this enough. Setting up your Google Business Profile is absolutely the golden key! A user will look at reviews almost immediately along with seeing any other details about your business directly from the listing. If you offer local services, make sure to also setup your service area.

3) Keep your website fresh & clean

Another key to success is to show to Google that your business is healthy and thriving is by keeping the website fresh, clean, and active. There are a number of ways to do this, but the most basic way is changing out images 1 to 3 times a year. Keeping your information updated especially if your business changes locations or changes business hours. Are offering a new service? Add that to the website!

Google perceives a website as either “alive” or “dead,” with the former indicating a site that attracts traffic, gains new and existing users, updates frequently, and posts fresh content. A “dead” website, on the other hand, refers to a site that is not managed, updated, or maintained, which can significantly affect your SEO ranking. To revitalize your website, consider the following options for building your website content:

Blogs are not dead and they can be time consuming, but we promise that if there is anything that we stand by the most, it’s blogging. Websites with blogs generally drive 30-40% more traffic to their sites than their competitors. Google will often pick up websites with blogs than ones that don’t have a blog. In turn you can then post those blogs to your social media channels to help drive traffic to your site.
